I have a Metfert (spelling) takedown system on a rifle I’ve owned many years. It is a massive thing weighing a little over 15 lbs, it was made by Franz Sodia. It has a barrel that is 15/16 of an inch at the muzzle, if any one is interested, I’ll post a photo of it.

The Germans are no longer using stop ring bullets but do use oversize ones. Fixed Ammo only. I show this takedown system in my Alte Scheibenwaffen Vol. 2 book. Not common. Do not reline ammo is easy. Huntington in Cal. has brass. Fun to shoot with their super triggers.
