Seems like the issues that caused this site to load slowly not long ago have come back again. At least for me it has. It took a good minute just to open the site yesterday, and the sane this morning. Moving around to open topics is equally slow.

it's have been slow for me for sometime I open 2 or 3 windows on here open a topic move to the next one's go back to the first one read it start a new one go to the next one it's a pain but it kind of works Ken

Thanks guys, I thought it was just me again.  My pages are loading in 12-14 seconds or so, which it lots faster than when I was having issues before so wasn’t saying anything.  I think comments in Forum Help will get Josh’s attention.

Josh,
I noticed last night thing were slowing down.  Taking 12-14 seconds for me to load a page this morning.  Under the gereral heading some others are discussing it.

Yea, I can see that in the logs, about 9:40 this morning. I have tweaked some settings to see if that helps. Should be good again for now, but do let me know if you notice it slow down again.

Thanks for the notification. Found some a-hole pounding the site trying to make fake logins for spamming. blocked the IP, and everything went back to normal.

Edit: had to play Whack-a-spammer for a bit, but I think I got em all.

The site is currently running fine. Your issue is that your ISP is not responding to reverse DNS lookups for you IP address. The site does a reverse DNS lookup for security reasons, and since your ISP does not respond to them, the site waits until a timeout period before continuing. This delays EVERYTHING on the forum if you are affected.

Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to resolve this. Your ISP will need to fix their issue.

digitall, same problem I had.  Make sure when you talk to your ISP you have them test their system using this site otherwise you will not get much satisfaction, if they don’t they will tell you its the site causing the problem.
