you can almost see the horse on the right saying, as he looks toward the cameraman, ''.. watch what comes next.''

Looks like a type of single shot I can't identify.

BB gun I think. Not familiar with it. Interesting...

My first thought that it was a BB gun also.

A scout and his Smith.

It looks like Joe keeps his Smith close to his heart.

Joe Richeaud, "Buckskin Joe" was the son of a French trapper and a Souix woman. He was with General Custer at the Battle of the Wichiteau in 1868 and at the Battle of Little Big Horn in 1876.

A scout and his Stevens.

Looks like Harry was wild about what appears to be a Stevens Tip-Up and a S&W Model No.2.

Photos like this leave me wondering if they were taken at some county fair, at a photographer's booth with a large wardrobe behind the screen.

Wild Harry's gaze is just a little too intense, unlike Joe Richeaud's above.

Buckskin Joe, a one legged scout? In a wild west show only?

Buckskin Joe married a woman who also had lost one leg. I believe her name was Ilene.

Thanks kensmachine. You got the eye.

Guess I was the another senior moment crept up on me. I should know better by now.

I should change the heading to Lowall lover.
