Show us a pic of your shiny back end. How does a smooth finish there make better shooter out of a rifle?

Joe, I noticed your rifle has very narrow lands, and wide grooves. So guessing the Ballard you pictured is not a Ballard bore maybe? Is that a Pope, Schoyen, or other maker's barrel?
Looks like it might be right hand twist, so maybe not a Pope?

Well Joe it is surely not all about you, myself or CF. I know you can achieve more than Pope by your own work but CF I don't think he even has a clue.

CF was correct about what and who mentioned that you might have worked on his rifle? I have yet to see any of Pat's / CF'S scores posted any where?

Pope hasn't done anyone's work since 1950.

Did he retire before he passed?

No, but I've read that he did almost no gunsmithing, or barrel work towards the end. I think he was 90 yrs. old when he passed away.
