Sharpening dull cutters

Anyone try 75% industrial vinegar to sharpen up dull checkering cutters and rifflers? I read somewhere that it could be used with some success instead of throwing them out. Now that Dembart is gone I would like to give it a try. 75% is a pretty strong solution to start with, so a dilution on 1st try maybe the way to start?

Boggs tools can probably resharpen them, their business is sharpening files.  They do it with abrasive steam blasting.  I've posted on here before the results, and they were good.

However, their website is showing up as lapsed.  I hope they're not out of business!

Have had some luck sharpening files with ordinary household vinegar. Takes a while, several hours.
Results were not as good as new but better than it was.
Should work on checkering cutters but no miracles.
