Finally finished my Farrow rifle.

I became aware of Milton Farrow and his rifles a number of years ago and finally own one, even though I had to build it myself.

The parts for the action were acquired from Rodney Storie.

I'll be writing a complete article for the SSR Journal later this year on my adventures building this rifle.

The caliber is 22 Long Rifle

The wood for the stock and forearm is from a Black Walnut tree from our family farm in Iowa.  It had been dead for so many years that when we cut it down in the 1950's the bark had fallen off of it.

The fitting, shaping, checkering and finishing of the stock and forearm I did myself.

The barrel is a Schilen 28 inches long.

The color case hardening is by Wyoming Armory of Cody, Wyoming.

The parts for the action are from Rodney Storie.

Sights are MVA from Belgrade, Montana.

I haven't had much of a chance to shoot it for accuracy but rather to determine it is functioning properly.

Trigger pull is 13 ounces.

Beautiful job. Think that is the first piece of Walnut I've ever seen from Iowa.
