Mid-Long Range Black Powder NE Texas

Any recommendations where one can practice in the NE Texas area.  Most ranges I talked to won't let you fire unless you're shooting some fancy rifle with telescopic sights.  Is the only way to sign up for a match and drive hours just to be embarassed.

Thanks

NE Texas? Big area....
I can give you a few pointers on LR in central Texas.
Outside Blanco, the Tejas Caballros have a cowboy LR range with a full size buffalo at 485 yards, bear at 400, and smaller targets at lesser ranges. Right now they shoot first Thursday of the month.
Unsure of the longest long distance, but the Green Mountain Regulators shoot They shoot 3rd Sunday?
In Columbus Texas the THSS has a long distance range setup for BPCR silhouette. I am unsure as to when they shoot.
There are a few other Cowboy long range ranges in the Hill Country. I also know of a few clubs outside Dallas that usually have long range.
Sorry that these are cowboy club ranges. I really can't help with really long range (500+).
Good luck.

I shoot bpcr silhouettes in Graham.  Yearly dues is $50.
