I have a high wall and low wall where the lever droops down a bit.  What is causing it and what is the fix?

Are they flat spring or coil spring actions?

The high wall is a flat spring and I believe that the low wall is a coil spring.

In a coil spring the spring loaded plunger ahead of the lever provides tension.  On a flat spring it is the flat spring that contacts both the hammer and lever. Levers are different.  The coil spring lever has a raised area in the center only that rides on the plunger.  A flat mainspring that is bent wrong might cause lever droop. I noticed drooping in my main target rifle last month but it turned out to be the two old cases I was using for breech seating.  Lots of high wall issues can be related to springs.  The  location of the flat spring retaining screw is also important as is the height below the barrel.  If you have a fat barrel you need to insure that the flat spring does not contact the barrel between its mounting screw and the receiver.  Milling a slot may be required   The flat spring screw location should be 3 1/16” from the face of the action.  I have several springs that I swap to insure proper function with barrel swaps

I haven’t lost all my marbles yet but there is definitely a hole in the bag somewhere.

Thank you very much.  I will look into changing some springs.
