Does anyone have or know of where one can pick up a bore guide for cleaning our single shot 22lr ( Ballard, CPA, 1885} without damaging the chamber? The bolt action guys use them exclusively.

I made a quickie solution that has been working well for cleaning my two .22RF single shot target rifles. I bought a .17 cal Dewey cleaning rod, adapter and .22 cal jag. Then drilled hole in a fired .22LR case so it slides freely on cleaning rod. With the 22 case chambered, it keeps the rod centered in the barrel so the rod does not abrade the chamber or throat.
The image below shows the set-up.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.
