Just musing here.  Would it be possible to convert a 25 rimfire to 25 centerfire by modifying the link to lift the block sightly higher and then modifying the hammer?  I don't even know if I explained this properly - I'm obviously not a gunsmith.   I'm not looking for comments on how weak the action is, as my intent is to use it as a 25 Halsted - a centerfire 25 stevens in essence.

No. Since these rifles are a pivot block, once the block cams up to the breech end of the barrel it cannot go any higher. You would need to convert the block to centerfire.
