Off the four (4) Rem-Hepburns I've owned (all DST, 3 originals and 1 DZ Arms) none of them had triggers that I could get to hold reliably below just under a pound. de Haas got similar results. If you are good with a 14-16oz trigger they are a great action/rifle. But they won't be a Winchester or Stevens DST.
The block spring is likely the weakest part. If DZ Arms still has them in stock I would get one or two to carry as a spare.
There is very little leverage on closing the block with the small lever and it has no camming-action to speak of, so it is important to have good fitting cases. Of course, using a proper cartridge seating tool is a big help.
With a shotgun buttplate stock it is an excellent rifle for shooting prone. The original curved buttplate can be a real shoulder beater in larger cartridges.
The original barrels all had slow twists by today's standards, so are limited to how heavy a bullet they will spin-up.
