So I picked up this little wall hanger from a gun shop. The firing pin had been welded over and the 25 cal. barrel was in bad shape. I hade a 32-20 barrel on the shelf that was in good shape so I cut the chamber end off and fitted it to the action. I made a new breach block from a piece of truck spring, tougher than the original. It is all together except for the forearm because the barrel is a little lager than the original. Chambered in 32 S&W and test fired. Next is to make a forearm and fit sights to it.

This has been a fun project. Need to make a forearm and scope mount.

Nice work!  Nonetheless, and pardon my reprehensible ignorance,  what size truck mounts springs that wide and thick?

The springs were given to me. May have come from a mobil home axel. I make lots of parts from old springs because I don't need to worry about toughness and no heat treat after.

Time to take it to range. Forearm was made from a piece of scrap. Scope is from DGW. Mounts, I have not idea where they came from.

"Put togethers" are so much fun. Little of this and one or two of those and you have a working shooting gun and if you are lucky they turn out to be a good shooter...

I'd have to have a close of of the mounts but, they look like Mossberg, modified to fit a std scope block.

Your 'scrap' fore end looks pretty good. I'd like to see your other 'good' pile Smiley

The scope mounts came off a piece that looked like it could have been a side mount about 6" long. I bought it at a gun show about 15 years back for $10, still had the tag on it.

I do some machine work for a custom stock maker and ask him to send me scraps that would otherwise go into the stove.

I had an 1894 Model Stevens Favorite .32L RF that had a shootable bore. I shot it with the .32 Long Colt cases bored for .22RF using a #2 nail gun blank for propellant and primer. I relieved the firing pin to make a modern style strike hitting only the .22 rim. I put a set of blocks on it and modified side mount parts very similar to what you did. I think my scope was a 2.5x. I modified an old Lyman tong tool to load with.
That little gun was more fun to plink with than anything I've had. I shot the dickens out of it for several years and sold it to a friend. He said he really likes it also. Now I'm missing mine, I'm thinking I should do another one. You will enjoy yours, I'm sure.
Here's a couple shots of how my mounts turned out.
