Replacing the crosshairs is relatively easy, if that's what you need done.

Someone here on the forum used to sell the tungsten wire, but I don't remember who.

This guy has various diameters.

I have purchased wire from Metal Man on eBay a few times.  He has a good selection and some items with 4 sizes. I usually use .0008 or .001.  The .0005 is too fine for my taste.

I use this fixture to hold the wire if the crosshair carrier does not have screws.

A couple of months ago Bob Seipp quoted me $65 shipped if I removed the carrier and sent it to him.

Being fumble fingered doesn’t help. The last one I did was going great until I got a drop of superglue on the left horizontal cross hair. I tried to scrape as much off as I could but it is not so good on the right side. Too lazy to fix it now as it works fine on my offhand 22 rifle. Someday I will fix it and replace the too thick ones on one of my 20x Lymans.  That scope came with too fine wires and my spare carrier has too thick ones. I get my new prescription glasses today after wearing readers for years. Maybe I will be able to put the fine crosshair carrier back in that Lyman after I use it at the Tacoma match on Saturday.

Hijack--16X Fecker, Rear spring stop held by a set screw, missing.
Anyone know the size and thread for this screw? Can figure it out, but easier if someone knows.
Also replacing cross-hairs.
