Sight Maker

There used to be a company called Parts Unknown that sold reproduction sights.  Later he changed the name of the company, IIRC.  I think the owner’s name may have been Sergio something.
The one time I dealt with him it was second hand through Ken Hurst.  I think he revealed he was having his sights made in the Ukraine.  I was wondering whether anyone else remembers this guy and knows whether he’s still around?

Froggie

PS  Back then I wrote a review for the Journal to tell about a reproduction of a Pope tang sight.  Verrry nice!

Froggy,
I remember him from years back. You are correct about his name and the location of manufacture. I bought several of his sights for clients projects, the quality and workmanship was impressive.

He was from Canada, I believe.  Last I heard, his connections to the Ukraine had been broken, and he couldn't get the sights anymore.

Found an old thread on them; it has his Canada contact info.  Here is the link:

Buffalo Arms still sells some red river sights, so he must still be in business in some capacity.

One of my vendors at work (not gun related) is in Ukraine.  We have had no major supply chain issues from them since Russia happened.  Speed of shipping is a lot more uncertain now, but they are working and shipping parts.

My understanding was the issues were after 9/11 about shipping gun sights into the USA?
