I search about 3 times a week on Ebay for external adjustment mounts for old target scopes, and the few that do come up are always $200-$400 or more. I've never seen even a front mount, let alone a rear mount for $20. I wouldn't car what scope they were for if they were external adjust mounts for $20 I'd grab them quickly!
Are you confusing mounts for bases?

My remark related to bases.  Lyman made dozens of different bases in various sizes.  They differed in length, height, contours of bottom sides, and distance between holes for screwing to rifle.  I probably bought 10 sets before I learned.  I'd be thrilled to get back half the money I spent buying them.  I was so thankful to have found MVA who fixed me up jiffy quick~!

I have a ziplock bag full of various target scope bases. Most are the typical two base spacing lengths for holes, but height and overall lengths vary a lot. Some are a couple inches long, and have two different mounting points for scopes to index into.
Widths also vary a bit from one maker to another as makers used slightly different base dovetails, so sometimes I have to grab a different base, or thin them down some on my bench top 1" belt sander until a scope mount slides on.

If you buy something on EBAY, regardless of seller not accepting returns, EBAY will if item is misrepresented or faulty. You might want to explain your situation with them.

It's not that easy with Ebay anymore. Even crooks have Ebay on their side, and Ebay goes as far as to not post bad reviews when an unhappy customer posts them!
I just last month had a purchase go bad when I got notice of delivery, but nothing was delivered. I waited a couple days to see if it was a mistake, and contacted the seller to tell him I never got my item. He simply responded it was delivered.
It was sent UPS, so called customer service and told them I never got the item and was asked for my address. They told me that wasn't the address on the package, and wouldn't tell me where it was sent to.
I filed a claim with Ebay, and was told I had to wait 10 days. Then after 10 days Ebay denied my claim stating the seller showed proof it was delivered. I appealed and showed them UPS said the seller mislabeled the address. Then Ebay made me wait another 10 days for the seller to dispute my appeal!
Finally after a month I got refunded by Ebay, not the seller, and credited back my money. I posted a bad review about the scam seller, and saw numerous others posted in the last month also! My review never showed up, and a few days later all the other bad reviews disappeared from his feedback also! Seller showed his location as California, but during this process I discovered his real address is Israel!
So Ebay is making it much harder for buyers to be able to get their money back, and easier for scammers to cheat buyers.

Had an identical experience with eBay, only the scam seller used USPS and sent something to a different address as well.

USPS confirmed that it went to a different address than mine, but wouldn’t tell me what address was used. They did however tell me that the delivery point had been recorded.

Through the whole experience eBay and the seller acted identically to your experience, and it wasn’t until I pointed out to eBay that the PO had recorded the delivery to another address that the finally agreed to a reimbursement.

BUT! I had to sign an affidavit that I had indeed not received anything! Even though they could see that it went elsewhere!

Same deal on feedback but the seller sends me advertising now  Angry
