Are you confusing mounts for bases?

My remark related to bases.  Lyman made dozens of different bases in various sizes.  They differed in length, height, contours of bottom sides, and distance between holes for screwing to rifle.  I probably bought 10 sets before I learned.  I'd be thrilled to get back half the money I spent buying them.  I was so thankful to have found MVA who fixed me up jiffy quick~!

I have a ziplock bag full of various target scope bases. Most are the typical two base spacing lengths for holes, but height and overall lengths vary a lot. Some are a couple inches long, and have two different mounting points for scopes to index into.
Widths also vary a bit from one maker to another as makers used slightly different base dovetails, so sometimes I have to grab a different base, or thin them down some on my bench top 1" belt sander until a scope mount slides on.

If you buy something on EBAY, regardless of seller not accepting returns, EBAY will if item is misrepresented or faulty. You might want to explain your situation with them.
