Rust removal with CLR

Tackled a "Little Job" of Stretching a Barrel  Wink and Welding a Sight Slot.  Used CLR to remove the Old Bluing....  Looks like I need to learn to weld.  Interesting that the different steels became visible.   David

Sometimes the heat of welding will show up in the difference in hardness. I have found that heating the whole area to a blue color and letting it cool on its own will hide the weld.
