38-50 chamber clean up

Have a question but will a 38-50 reamer clean up an existing 38-55 chamber. Reason I ask is I have two builds going on now and barrels are quite expensive. A fellow shooter and friend offered me a GM barrel in 38-55 with a 14 and 1/2 twist for cheap (free). Will it work for the 38-50 and will it "clean up" ?
