Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I have a couple made by Werner Wolfe that are the same Schoyen design, and they are very comfortable to use.

The next questions, are we to assume Mr. Wolfe makes them for CPA? as they don't mention that! And does he make them for others?

Last I heard Werner is still with us, but not sure he's making these tools at all now?
I have another identical tool made by a guy in California, but only difference is his tool has a thin aluminum rest on one side to keep your hand from slipping up as you squeeze the handles. Looks odd, but actually is a nice improvement on the Schoyen design.

I have used an original Schoyen capper for more than 50 years and never had any concern for my hands slipping on the handles, possibly one of the reasons for the acorns on the bottom of same beside the aesthetic appeal.
