Schuetzenfest '89 Medals, Part II

These are the backs of the medals in my earlier post.

Does anyone know where these matches were shot?

What does "MS" stand for?

And if there is a Center Fire aggregate medal, what does the "World Champion" have to shoot in order to win?

Hi Bruce,

I'm gonna guess that those were some of the medals from a match that Bo Clerke and Bob Bowman put on at the LA Shooting Range in Little Tujunga Canyon. CF MS may stand for "Centerfire Metallic Sights." Russ Hooks should be able to verify it.

Thanks Bob, I'll ask Russ.

'nother question: what is/was the 3 shot match?

Bruce,

At most of the schuetzen matches here in Southern California there was a three-shot offhand match. I think the three-shot match dates to matches long ago.
