Richard is correct, so far, they are only in southern counties. Perhaps Kansas Wildlife and Parks is correct in the way they are handling the pigs. It seems like a resource we are not utilizing. Some of the guys who worked for me paid money to travel to Oklahoma to hunt pigs, stayed in hotels, ate in restaurants etc. money to Ok.

I used to, but Walmart decided to close both stores in Portland. Now it's too far to drive outside Portland to see the wild hogs running down their aisles!

you took away their habitat, so they needed to migrate elsewhere. Why, oh why did it need to be here? You should have considered sending them to Slow, Lazy Dog, where he can legally shoot them. Or gig 'em Roll Eyes

I think I'll stick to the hogs at the ranch. Probably not as ill tempered as the ones you have in mind. You can find them in Walmart here as well. Seems like the big ones with a bad attitude, can always be identified by their blue or purple hair. Makes them easy to spot and avoid.
Thanks for the laughs.

Sorry we derailed your thread. Vall started it. We did do it with quality posts and good imagery.

If those hogs ever make it to Idaho they'll be in hog heaven as this is tater country down here in my area. We may have to rename the place Root Hog again. Our tater farmers will have to get the artillery out. Might be fun.  I'm guessing, if they got rid of the hogs once they can do it again.  Smiley

No derailment, just an expanded conversation. Just got back from the ranch. Today's choice was my low wall in 218 bee. A 50 gr nosler in the ear hole.

Good that the wee little bullet went into the ear. I doubt that would do  a good job elsewhere on the porker. I shot one with in the shoulder with a 44 mag. The damn thing staggered, looked around to see what bumped into him and resumed eating with the rest of the gang. Tough critters. Took another bullet driven in from the front to get him. Went back to the thirty-thirty.
