Would anyone have a picture of a Hubalek ballard buttstock? I have a buttstock that was represented as a genuine Hubalek. Would like to verify and determine which buttplate would be appropriate. Thanks, Dan

Arthur Hubalek was a piano tuner as well as a gunsmith, but he was renowned for his barrels and particularly his 22 rimfire liners. I don't know if he made rifle stocks, although he might have....

He built a lot of prone guns besides schuetzen rifle so his stocks varied considerably. Gary Quinlan is the Hubalek authority.

Did he make a hammerless conversion for a Ballard?

Wonder where all those guns in the picture went. Would be interesting to know how many of them survive and where they are now.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I've only seen one Hubalek stock that was unique enough to make me think if I saw another it would have to be his. It was a zig zag laminated wood stock of light and dark wood. Really ugly, but interesting.
