This rifle is a fine example of a poorly designed firearm. No gas protection at all. Notice all the forces are directed at the shooter at first ignition as the gases escaped. No way that rifle should be on the market.

Saw this video years ago when he first posted it, and one thing kept sticking in my mind. Why would he continue to fire ammo of unknown velocities and pressures when he obviously discovered well before the explosion the ammo was erratic?
He continues to state the rounds are very hot, and he had no way to know how hot they were loaded. Yet he keeps going until the gun blows up.
The design of this rifle is a poor design, but strong enough for ammo of known velocities and pressures. But not for unknown ammo. To me this guy is a clown who shouldn't be doing videos, as this kind of thing encourages stupid behavior with deadly results.

People who design something that is 'fool proof' often underestimate the ingenuity of fools.

if I remember right the slap was made specifically for the M2 HB machine gun and not for the 50 cal rifles including the Barrett.

In this clip via from Kentucky Ballistics, a .50-caliber rifle explodes from an “extra, extra hot round” in the face of Scott DeShields, Jr. Among his list of injuries is are a broken orbital bone, broken nose, lacerated jugular, punctured lung, and temporary blindness. DeShields credits his $12 pair of Stanley safety glasses for not being permanently blinded.

The guys a moron. I'm perty sure it wasn't a single shot rifle so frankly my dear I don't give a damn...

He certainly has an odd way of seeking attention.

Oh it’s a single shot all right. Combination of a tip up and zip gun.

To keep bolt thrust off the breech face and pivot pin, there is a screw on breech plug that has to be removed and installed when chambering. Just like many other hardware store built firearms.

Pretty sure the style is called a Zip Up gun Tongue

Users manual states that if a round won’t chamber, can’t screw the breech plug all the way down, use a big wrench on the flats provided on breech plug and crank it down until closed. That way the barrel can pivot fully into the closed position.

Oh, a combination rifle and sizing die.  What could possibly go wrong?

"Ve gets too soon olt und too late shmart."

I don't foresee either happening to this guy.

This is what I did for attention last year. I decided to shoot off the bench next to an open pound of FF. A little spark made it in the bottle and exploded by my head. One little Mental lapse and my vision could have been gone.

these pictures were a couple days after when I started looking" good"

Yikes! How come in the movies an explosion big enough to demolish a house only leaves black smudges on the hero and tears his girlfriend's blouse in interesting ways?

It's made sorta like a pipe bomb. Not a falling block, rolling block, swinging block or a break open. Not the sort of rifle you typically see here.
