My problem is even with loupes I have trouble measuring thread count on those tiny suckers. 90 tpi ? I knew I should have snagged that optical comparator  when I had the chance...

You got that right Zack.  My plan B is to use the Centering Scope on the Mill.  I'll run a few test sections per G.T's idea of using the closest Lathe Feed and then compair them.  Going to be a challenge to make one that small. 😲
