I just got a preview of the completed action engraving, she’s still working  on other parts…..I’m not sure this wood lives up to the engraving!

I'm not going to show everything but here's a small part of the engraving.  I had not planned on engraving the small lever on the Breech block/lever pin.  She asked if she could add something, I said yes.  This is what she did.  Sorry for the blurry picture, it's a cropped portion of what she sent me.

Couple more pieces to the puzzle.

Hammer screw.  Still has some engraving ink on it.

Buttplate...toe end.

Since Bob had recently mentioned he'd been attempting engraving to add the caliber, etc. to the barrel, I thought this engraving was just more of Bob's fine work!

I will do some light engraving, like what is on the pitted Ballard and the Remington 7 barrels, but this engraving is way over my abilities.   Wait until you see the actual frame engraving! Wink

The rifle is now mostly complete, just sights left to do but it’s getting a scope anyway.

Ended up French Graying the parts rather than case hardening, shows the engraving much better.

Anyway, here she is...good, bad or ugly.

Probably over did the pictures...sorry. Cheesy
