A Russ Weber Ballard Seater. I believe it was posted once and might have got lost. Hopefully the way it is being hooked into the breech block mortice might be helpful in modifying your Niel Rice seater.

Send me a PM with your email or texting number. I took pictures of the Ballard seater at Tommy's. The photo's Joe posted are not the same seater.

Jack, did you see the breech seater Russ Hooks was using on his Ballard at Tommy's?  Slickest one I ever saw. Simple and elegant. No mods to the action or barrel.

Wished I'd taken a picture of it  Cry

I wonder if Joe Feldman has one?

Joe?

The rifle is a Cody Ballard 32-40 that I bought from my old friend Steve Siebold of Sulfur, LA 20+ years ago.  Steve attached a stud on the left side of the barrel and this breach seater hooks over it.  Very easy to use.  This tool looks like a piece of jewelry.
