Browning 1885 spacers

The forearm touched the barrel on my 1885 and although I sanded the fore arm, I never could get it to free float.
I made some washers out of .050 titanium and placed the between the hanger and forearm, this help to get this group.

That was the first thing I did on my BPCR.  Then made sure the fore-end cleared the front of the action.

Yep, if you own a Browning 1885 do what Chris & bg7m did.  Browning designed the forearm hanger so that the wood does not contact the barrel but after buying & selling, disassembling, cleaning & reassembling well over 250 of the rifles to date I have yet to run into one with the forearm fully floating.  Usually they are real snug against the barrel.
