Vall's second article repeats the claim that Mr. Tobias worked on a gun for James Butler ("Wild Bill") Hickok.

Unfortunately, Mr. Tobias was barely 12 years old when "Wild Bill" was murdered in August, 1876.  Therefore, at best Mr. Tobias might have at some point worked on one of the many guns that Mr. Hickok reputedly owned.

On the other hand, fellow contemporary Ohio native Annie Oakley might well have been a real customer.
