Some time back I started a thread about Hal Hartley stocks which got interesting. 
Anybody have a classic SS varmint rifle stocked by Maurice Atkinson ? He worked for C.C. Meridith, Streetsville , Ontario who built some very fine rifles and was a good friend and hunting buddy of Landis, author of those fine 22 centerfire/ woodchuck books.
Curious minds want to know since he was a part timer but built some lovely stocks back in the late  40’s, and 50’s.

He worked in the radio plant run by C. C. Meredith so I know he stocked his work, of which I have a Zipper, of which I know the history. My gun has borderline engraving which looks very close, and possibly could be factory.
C.C.’s plant, from what I know, made radios for, among other things, bombers during WWII. Here is my gun, pretty much his style, if that helps.[img]
