Yet another reason to weigh bullets intended for serious accuracy testing/competition.

Some time back I believe it was Westerner who posted a picture of a mould with a wasp nesting in it.  Maybe there is an insect infestation causing the void where some bug ate into the bullet!  All kidding aside, that seems like a weird place to get a void so large.  Tom

Agree Tom and what was interesting is there were several like it in his small test lot. So it was not like it was just one out of a hundred cast.

Be nice to see before vibrating to see what they looked like. Also wonder if dross or flux was in the ladle during the pour and then broke up or dissolved during cleaning?

Bob I might be wrong but I believe that you have Bob Birmely. Bob was actually a perfectionist behind the scenes. When he moved over into the Plainbase class from the CBA Heavy class he basically just went out to enjoy himself. All of the outstanding personal accomplishments prior too. Was just no longer at the top of his list and if memory serves right? When he was helping out at the ISSA National Match events at Raton I don't believe he even competed in them all them. Before he moved to NM we would go out to range on every weekend day that was available to practice. He with his CBA Heavy rifle and me with my CPA.

That is me on the left and Bob Birmely to the right with the red shirt and the bib overalls.
