I need a firing pin for a Cody Ballard, does anybody make them? They don't have any at Wyoming Armory.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Easy to make a CF firing pin for a Ballard. Just need a drill press, some 3/16" round stock, and a file to turn the tip down as it spins in the drill press. Turn down the diameter to fit. Then cut the notch for the firing pin screw, and heat treat the tip, depending on what steel you make it from.
Probably one of the easier firing pins to make.

Coltsmoke,
Did you have one break or are you just wanting a back-up?  I would like to shoot mine next year at the Q but I don't want to travel that far and have something break.  I usually shoot a highwall because no matter what breaks I can be up and running again in 10 minutes.

Upon taking the block apart just to clean and inspect I noticed the hammer was only hitting the bottom half of the firing pin. The sharp edge around the bottom half was missing. Just a small piece had broke off. I think it may have brad the end just a little bit and then broke it off when being fired. It still shoots, just bothers me knowing it is there.
