Removing nickle/chrome on action

I would like to remove nickle/chrome off a action and reblue it.  Any ideas on how to do it

If only it were that easy. A few trips thru the car wash and your shiny bumper would be stripped.
I have used. They have stripped chrome and nickle for me from numerous projects. They have experience with firearm related plating and stripping. They plated the late Bob Munden's handguns for him for years.

If it's actually nickel, there are liquid strippers on the market. The only way I know of to remove chrome other than aggressive grinding is to use electrolysis.   Best done by a pro, I judge.  I had it done to some motorcycle parts many years ago.  As I then lived in Rhode Island, there were more than a dozen shops to choose from.  Elsewhere in the country it won't be so easy.
