32-20 M44 Stevens build

I have a chance at a well used Stevens 44 with a sewer pipe barrel in 25rf. Can I safely build a 32-20 on this action? I can machine a new cf block just not sure if the action will stand it. It has the non lug hammer.

I have a 25-20 wcf and z 25-20 single shot on 44 actions.my next will be a 32-20
