Ran across another kipplauf builder. This one in Italy uses 28 gauge O/U as the basis (and you can store an extra cartridge in the unused 28 part!).

I bought something similar many years ago.  The Germans make all sorts of multipurpose hunting firearms.  Mine is a (IIRC) Hoffmachbuchsenmacher built in 1904 in Dusseldorf by Gundermann.  It is a 2.5" sixteen gauge shotgun on the top barrel and small bore 8x57mm rifle on the bottom.  I make brass from the 9,3 X72R RWS brass.  Run it thru the FL sizer and trim.  I use 32-40 starting load data with a 180gr cast bullet, and increased the charge until the flip rear sight hits close to point of aim at 100 yards.  Fully engraved, with animal characters.

Just a beautiful O/U, and a joy to pack afield.  Some firearms are just fun to own and shoot.
