	I wonder how much farther you could drive on the diesel fuel burnt to charge the battery on that idiot's car. And, how much oil was consumed in the plastics on the car, the tires on the wheels and, for that matter, the very roadway upon which it will travel. Some conservationist he is, huh?

	Ah, here's where it came from and I guess there it makes sense. (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links) Additional info: the Nullarbor plain in Australia is 684 miles across and there are no electric lines.

	I think I have seen photos of the military/rangers in Yellowstone NP riding bicycles. Maybe that is the origin of "put the hammer down".

	Judging by his saddle, boots, and the wiping rod and tang sight on his rifle, I'd guess that Ballard Boy at least is not regular army. Are they members of a militia unit perhaps? Bill Lawrence

	What about the High wall and look at the cartridges in their belts. Look longer than 45-70s

	The Ballard is most likely a Pacific, as the cartridges don't appear long enough for a Montana. The Pacific was chambered in 45-70 along with others. If part of a militia or military outfit the 45-70 would make sense as ammunition would be more readily available.

	I might add, that they are more likely part of a cavalry outfit as opposed to a calvary. Easy mistake to make.

	Yes, as calvary is easier to say, but just remember that the calvary men carried crosses or spears and not guns.
