another fun photo. I wonder if they left the price tag on that major-league cannon because the photog was intending to take it back to the surplus store to put back into the barrel of clunkers? I once got a Luger from a table of color-coded stuff all in a pile. Twenty-five bucks. A deal, but almost wiped my young-ass bankroll out.

That looks like a mighty skinny barrel on that Sharps.

Just light on an octagon - look closely at muzzle end.
Odd pistol in shirt?

The Scout's handgun appears to be a Merwin & Hulbert revolver.
It has the bird's head "skull crusher" grip.
Always wanted one like that.
Similar to this one I think...

More likely a 1877 Colt lightning bird head in the picture I think.

The one he has stuffed in his shirt looks small enough to be a Rainmaker.

The photo's not sharp enough for me to tell if there really is a "skull crusher" appendage on the pistol's butt.  Nonetheless, the shape of the grip and the rear of the trigger guard are not like any of the early DA Colts.  In short, I also vote for a Merwin & Hulbert.

I wouldn't chase her, Joe. I got a good look at the trio of brothers that came to the photog with her. No need to get pummeled over a tomato with an old rifle.
