Is the standard length of pull shorter for tang si

So I'm 6'e" and have for years used rifles with 14 1/2" lop. It seems standard is 14 1/4 lop. But it almost seems as if the standard for tang sighted rifles is shorter yet. What is average and why..

The stocks grow shorter the older they are due to the average size of the shooter of the timeframe. The sight in itself is varied in it's placement for ease of loading, cleaning and adjustments.

Depends on a number of factors such as your physical build, style of shooting, recoil, etc.
Some lengthen the standard LOP on a heavy recoiling rifle having a tang sight that is mounted farther rearward (for example, a Win Model 1886 using 45-90 Hi-Velocity loads) by adding a slip-on or lace-on pad to provide a safe amount of eye relief to prevent the tang sight aperture from ticking your shooting glasses, same as maintaining enough eye relief when using a scope to prevent "scope bite".

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Standard  LOP has always been around 13.5" for most factory rifles I've measured. Yours is a full 1" longer than factory.

What is naturally comfortable for you and what is not and If you have to reach for the trigger it's just possibly not right for you.

Length of pull is  the  inside measurement from the bend of the arm to the bend of the trigger finger. This is for off hand, 6-10 lb rifles, shotguns. Clothing, shooting discipline or weight of the fire arm may change your preference but that is a good place to start. My pull length measures 13 1/2" but  cut my stocks on my modern scoped hunting rifles to 12 3/4 to 13 for heavier clothing which makes it easier to shoulder. Trap shotguns I like to be about 14".
