I love my Harrel's Schuetzen measure.  I can switch between loads for my 25-20, 32-40s and 38-55 and not worry about throwing exactly what I have determined to be the best load.  The only minor issue is that when on the "0" mark on the know it is slightly off on the dashed scale.  Can this be adjusted?  What are the 3 Allen head screws for on the end of the knob?

Brian I think it a very wise choice for its intended use and I wish you the best with your 250 goals they are indeed well within your reach if you are willing to put forth the time and effort to achieve those goals and I wish you the very best!

4759 is the one powder that the Harrells has a problem with, as does the Redding, which bridges terribly . I guess it is the one powder that really needs to be weighed after throwing. The Belding Mull seems the best on 4759 for consistency.

Those 3 screws are used to adjust how much powder drops per click. I believe it's can be changed from 4-6 clicks per mark. Have to revisit mine to see for sure. A nice feature if you're wanting to drop larger charges, but I leave mine at the finest click setting.

The Redding BR-3 will consistently drop accurate charges same as the Harrel Schuetzen but the convience of the click adjustments makes it allot easier to keep up with the temperture changes during a match or when changing from one rifle to another. A good example would be by going from the any center fire bench match to the 1/4 bore. That and my not being able to see the lines clearly on the Redding micrometer adjustment stem. So in my case it was well worth the extra money spent for the added advantage of having the click adjustments.

Those 3 screws are in very securely so I plan to leave them alone.  I do have an old Herters measure with a micrometer style adjustment mechanism.  I use it for 4895 and 4759 even though it has to shear some grains at times.  I now use it for fixed ammo only and weigh the charges.  Before I got the Harrels I used it at the bench for 4227. If I knocked it 5 times before dropping the charge it was very consistent. Just a pain to set for another caliber.

Thanks John, I was curious about that comparison.

I didn't think I would have the time, but I took a quick look inside. The Schuetzen, as mentioned earlier, doesn't have the bearings, but mine doesn't seem to have much play at all. The BR model has the roller bearings in it. I think they changed the Custom 90 some, I've had mine for a bit. I knew it wouldn't have bearings in it, but it has a brass baffle and the nicer round cross section handle on it.

With small drops of 4227, I always thought the Schuetzen edged out the BR, but I suppose I never gave the BR a decent try. I should give it a new look. The cheaper 90 is actually a nice measure, and I don't really know why I've drifted away from using it for general stuff. I think good solid products overall from those folks.

That's exactly the same price as a new one through Harrell's. Just a free base.
