Not sure about your question, but I'm told that Lee Shaver can do a nice adjustment to the stock trigger.

There's a fine shooter from Texas (I believe) who "wrote the book" on the Miroku BP cartridge-firing High Walls, and maybe he or some others will chime in to answer your direct question.

Good luck.

No one makes SST for miroku but Lee Shaver does a fine adjustment on them. Call and talk to him

Tex-Mac (Wayne McFerran - sp?) is the person who truly "wrote the book" on the Miroku/Win-Browning High Walls. Google his moniker and you'll get his website. A couple of us shot our Win-Miroku High Walls in BPCR competition and the sear that Lee Shaver does to make it a good trigger wore down so it would not hold. Simple fix is to order a second trigger sear for $45 (price a few hears ago) and have him do two for you and keep a spare in your range box as is simple to swap out at the range. Then send the other back for another $35 (again, a few years back) Lee Shaver treatment.

From what I've heard about the Moroku/Win. actions, you better send the whole barreled action to Lee! A lot of people have ended up sending him the parts and action later, when they couldn't get it back together!

IIRC is only a single cap screw to drop out the trigger and attached sear. Have not removed/installed for several years, but think all that is needed is a small allen wrench for the Win-Miroku. The earlier Browning-Miroku may be different.

Not sure how one would do a trigger job with just the trigger? I'd think you'd need to also have the sear, and hammer, even if you have a jig to hold the pieces?

The sear is attached to the trigger and drops out with it. That is all that Lee Shaver requires to do his "trigger job". At least when I had mine done about ten years ago.

March 2000 single shot exchange has article by Dale McGee on making a plug that limits sear engagement. Has all the details and size (7mm-x1.0 thread). At one time DZ arms had some of these plugs.

Guys,

As Glenn noted, the trigger sear is attached to the trigger.  The trigger/sear are easy to remove after removing the stock by drifting out a small pin.  The pin normally can be pushed out by hand since the stock holds it in place.  Send the trigger/sear to Lee with $35.  He works on the sear (changes the contact angle) and returns it with a replacement (lighter trigger spring).

BTW, the stock requires a long common screwdriver to reach the stock bolt.  When backing out the bolt just be sure the screwdriver tip in in the slot and not logged between the bolt head and the stock, otherwise you can crack the stock.
