Hello ,
I bought a second hand Model S action, the lever was cut short by previous owner, but came with an original lever ,I put it on, put it back together except the Lever Bolt will not go in ,despite using a locating rod to align everything up from the other side of the action,no matter how many times I have tried this bolt will not go through the action ,the holes are the right dia ,can someone tell me if there is a Way of doing this ,never had this problem before ,thanks for any advice

Did it install and go through with the old cut lever? Does the pin go through the new lever by it self? Maybe the lever hole is not perpendicular? Just a guess but these questions would help identify the issue.

Two Guns,
It sounds like you have an alignment problem to me. Have you tried using a reamer through the action with the lever in place? That should true up the alignment and solve your problem. I does sound like some part has not been drilled dead square on. A few thousandths of an inch out of alignment and you won't get a pin or screw through all three holes.

Thanks Harry will try that ,the extractor can move around a bit which means if its not in exactly the right position the bolt wont go through its hole ,fairly tight fit

Got it worked out ,the New lever would not accept the extractor toggle fully, therefore the hole would not line up ,inside the new lever there was a ridge of metal near the hole which had not been properly finished ,after alot of filing [hard metal]the extractor toggle was working freely with the pin inserted ,put it altogether, lined up the holes with a nail and the bolt when through and together first go ! need a New extractor as it looks like it was hit with an angle grinder by the former owner
