Anyone know what the barrel threads are? Metric or standard? What would be a good chambering for one.

I may be wrong, but I think all of those mini-sharps are private labled for various outfits by one of the euro-replica makers.  Maybe Pedersoil it one was lucky.   I saw one in 357 mag (pistol) that I'd have grabbed if I'd had the cash, more as a fun-plinking gun.   I have a lower grade (IMHO) replica sharps carbine in 40-50 BN BUT it is full sized.

Not sure how much pressure but here is a link to the Chiappa site.

the factory ships it in .218 bee,  .30-30 and .38-55 Win.      higher power than I'd have expected

I'm wondering if Chiappa is the actual MFG or a reseller.   If you google "mini-sharps rifle" you'll see threads on page first referring to a Chiappa mini-sharps, a David Pedersoli mini-Sharps and a Charles Daley Mini-Sharps.

I think the one in .357mag I looked at a few years ago was Charles Daley labeled

According to Phil Spanburger (sp?) Chiappa is the manufacturer.  On the Lyman website they make no mention of the mini-Sharps, only the full sized 45/70 version.  Perhaps it was not as good a product as one can hope.  I did read a review of one where the chamber was so tight that the block shaved the rear of the cartridge and then couldn't extract it.  The manufacturer was less than helpful.

I have a Chiappa mini-Sharps rim fire action I am building into a silhouette rifle and it has 7/8-14 threads. Not sure if it's identical to the Lyman or not. Hope this helps.
