To those of you that use a Crossno liner, I have a few questions. Please look at the picture and see if I have it installed correctly, it seems to be the only way it will go. Also in order to turn the liner you would have to block the guns extractor and limit the lever travel--or remove the extractor.
A few more observations and questions on the same.
1. the dummy 22 rounds I have fit tight and have to be pushed in, and yes I know it has a whatever chamber, but upon removing the dummy I see it has engraved the rifling on the bullet for almost the entire length of the bullet. Without the bullet the dummy case is loose in the chamber.
2. The rim of the 22 seems to be almost totally unsupported and in order to remove the case you have to dig it out, there is no slot to get the screwdriver under the rim, aside from the obvious milled/ground out area.
3. The 45-70 case seems to be loose in the rifle chamber. This I could fix by using shim stock around the rear of the case.
These are observations as I have no experience with the liner and may be normal for the liner. I just need some one who uses one to correct me.
Thanks, Bob
