I'm betting that the grooves will likely be .458" (although I agree it's definitely woth the time to check).  All of my Badger .45 cal barrels have a groove diameter very close to .458".  Interestingly the bore dimensions seem to vary more than the groove.   

The one interesting thing about the Browning/Winchester BPCR .45-70 chambers is that they have no freebore.

In that case I would pick  459, .001 over bore size.

460 is pretty hard to load and chamber most 45/70's it's too fat for most bullet seating dies. If you slip fit load it can work.  Thing to do is mike a fired case see how big it is and what it will accept when  re-loaded
