I've seen an interesting rolling block rifle , custom made around 1885. It has a full stock & is chambered for 10.15x61R. Apparently it was used in its era for seal & moose shooting in Norway..The condition is nice & I'd love to shoot it..deHaas book says it is a .403 dia. bullet .. goes ANYONE know of a source for some cartridges ? ? .. any help would be greatly appreciated ......
Ed , up here in Canada .

Take a chamber cast and check it against 40 cal. brass. .403 was the size of asome old .40s

While I'm sure that any number of custom loaders would gladly run some up for you, it wouldn't take purchasing many rounds before it would be a lot less expensive to load your own.  Brass is readily available from Buffalo Arms, either Bertram with the proper head stamp or reformed brass that is much less expensive.  Buffalo Arms also has a selection of .403 rifle bullets to select from.

You might try AARDVARK Labs they specialize in oddball ammo. Phone number is 630-957-7999. There PO box is in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. I have run into them at the OGCA gun shows and they have a nice line of obsolete cartridges. Good luck--Zane
