Gentlemens:

Now this is a real good question. I am most interested in the historical and current thinking on throat design for breech seating. What say ye all?

The throat design I've been using on reamers for breech seating is a groove diameter plus .001" throat .050" long and then a taper of 1-1/2 degrees per side. In my .32 I can breech seat a non-tapered bullet with strong thumb pressure. It's hard on the thumb so I use a breech seater but it does show how easy the bullet will go in. This throat design is also short enough that it should work well with fixed ammo.
