Peabody Conversion

I recently acquired a Peabody in .41 Swiss rimfire and am interested in finding a gunsmith to convert a rimfire block to centerfire so I can get the rifle back on the range.  I already have a spare rimfire block with striker for the conversion, which allows me to keep the original block unconverted.  While realizing that some have done these conversions themselves, most of my shop is going to remain in boxes for the next 6 months to a year, which requires that I "out-source" the work.  Please e-mail with any solid leads you have on someone experienced in this line of work.  Thanks.

richardwv;
              I have just recently finished a Peabody rifle,using a CF action, the striker block you refer to I assume you mean block with rimfire firing pin--the firing pin is made with a rather long sharp dog-leg that would be the hardest part of the conversion. There is a groove [guide] cut in the side of the block for the firing pin, which may create another problem, other than this firing pin problem the rest of the conversion is fairly easy for any good gunsmith.
                If you need wood, Treebone Carving has a very nice stock set for the Peabody--The Green Mountain full OCT barrel--1.08 muzzle & 1.20 breech --fits the action --making the rifle just over 12pound. good luck with your project
