Martini-Henry parts

A friend is seeking a firing pin for a large Martini, a military rifle of unknown (to me) lever length and maker. Do any of you know of a source for such a thing? I'm assuming that all  of this-vintage British rifle parts would be interchangeable at least to some degree.

Any help would be appreciated, I sure don't wanta hafta MAKE this puppy.
TIA, Joe

Hi Joe,

I can check here for you, I doubt mailing a firing pin would land me in jail - I think/hope  Undecided there are many Martini parts around here. What catridge is the military Martini chambered for - .577-450 or .303 ?

The following company may also be worth a try as they do sell martini parts, many of which are not listed on their website...

Joe,

Marstar in Canada has a lot of these parts, and decent prices.  An internet search pulls up their website.

BTW, still haven't mailed out the helm lever, too many other things going on to find the time to call ballard for the spring.

Cam,
One must file ATF form 6 to import "Firearms orany part thereof"
I got a written warning when I bought a barrel off Auction Arms that came from Germany.
Best,

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the update and warning...  A mate who is a gunsmith here told me the same earlier.

I am faced with similar paperwork here importing accessories too. ie: cases, dies, moulds. Funny thing is, I can import a barrel personally without drama, so long as it isn`t chambered. Seems they class it as a piece of pipe...

I didn`t realise there would be good supplies of Martini parts in the US. Looks like Joe has some good options closer to home...

Try following reference list, and scroll down to parts and spares: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Assuming it is a military rifle, don't forget the .303 had the firing pin turned down, and the firing pin hole bushed.  The 577-450 firing pins are identical, regardless of Mk.

Many thanks for all your kind replies, and a special thanks to Steve D for his most generous offer and to George Springer for his email citing Numrich as a parts source.

May you all have a Merry Christmas and a most Happy New Year, and it's a shame that some folks consider that sentiment to be politically incorrect 'cause I'm gonna say it again anyway.
