What is the differences in the 2 actions I saw where it took different stock  for thes actions. Both offer a double set trigger action What is the difference if any as to strength ,tolerances ,durability, fit and finish. There is a big difference in price . I know remington made different style actions  and wondered if this is the difference . Any information would be greatly appreciated

The Lone Star action is an exact copy of the original rolling block actions.  The Pedersoli is not. Either is OK but the Lone Star is top of the line for us roller guys.  GS

I have a .45-70 Lone Star Remington Pattern Rolling Block--nothing fancy or extra on it.

There is just no comaprison between it & the Pedersoli.

I once laid my Lone Star next to a Pedersoli & the fit, finish, colour case, etc., was far superior to the import. Both were about the same age & the Pedersoli had not been abused or mistreated.

As far as Rolling Blocks go, it's hard to beat a Lone Star....
