The Green Frog mentioned that I had a design for a breech seater for break-open rifles. Yes, I do. I'll have measured drawings for it in an upcoming installment of the "Modest Schuetzen". It won't be in the next issue, in that one I finish shaping the stock, but in the one after that I'll show how to make the breech seater. I'll also be taking the gun and the readers to the range and show how everything works.

The breech seater is in two parts, a dummy case with a sliding plunger, and a toggle lever to force the bullet into the rifling. It does require a screw in the side of the barrel to anchor the lever. It's not really an original design, Charlie Dell shows one in his book, "The Modern Schuetzen Rifle"
