I have a Kimber 82B .218 Bee and wish to re barrel/chamber to a 17 Ackley Bee.   Has anyone done this?  Suggestions, advice?

Since your Kimber is a bolt action you probably asked in the wrong place. 
In 218 bee you have a rare rifle,personally I'd leave it alone to protect the value. It's your rifle to do as you wish though.

IMHO sell it and purchase a 17 Fireball or 17 Hornet.
